More shoes from Celine.  I took these pictures at Celine lace up

It's hard to see from this photo, but is has a nude leather insert that wraps across the front….next, a different version of the wedge.  I love this shoe too, it reminds me of Japan.

Celine wedge

Neiman's just got the Prada chandelier lucite mules. (thanks Chauss)   I had to have them.  I know these are kind of a love hate shoe, but I love them!  (they are extremely loud however.)  I loved all of the Miu Miu shoes for spring too, but I've been a little disappointed with what is actually being shipped.  Jane managed to snag a pair of the satin platforms (thanks again Chauss) and they are really incredible.

The chandelier shoes just made me laugh. They’re beautiful and over-the-top ridiculous at the same time. It must be incredible fun to walk in them!

I think that the lucite mules were a good choice. It’s a great to have a little variation in the shoe collection you have.

I tried on those chandeliers a few weeks ago and also found that the sound they made was insane. I just couldn’t see myself walking around with that noise – like shackles! Also, I didn’t find them to be flattering on me (I’m sure they’re lovely on you!). I look forward to seeing how you style them πŸ™‚

I love all these. The first pair of Celines remind me of what Margiela does sometimes w/ side cut-outs (although his heel is very different).
I’d definitely wear those Pradas, noisy or not. Finally, a clear shoe that I actually like!

Those Pradas are like every childhood shoe fantasy I ever had rolled into one, with a little dash of medieval chain-mail goodness and the sexy pinup shape of an old-school slip-on mule! MMMMM I’m so jealous you’ve got them (but I know you’ll give them an amazing home and lots of love :D)

So, I went to Celine on Omotesando yesterday and asked to try the first pair in a size 40(IT). I was told that the largest shoe size in many boutiques in Tokyo is 38. I felt like such a big horse with giant feet!!!
So, I will have to wait until I go back to NYC . . . Did buy an amazing bag at Ann Demeulemeester, though.

so jealous that you got your hands on a pair of these! they’re a hot commodity here in new york. you should rock some of those crystal armor-ish clothes that Prada sent down the runway as well! could totally see you rocking it with some tartan plaid or something crazy. can’t wait to see how you style these shoes!

I love the Celines! And those Pradas are just fabulous – I love how the light bounces off of them in the pictures.
I was wondering, since you’re a shoe veteran, in general, do you think that designer heels are more comfortable? I can’t walk very well in heels higher than 2.5 inches, so I’ve always wondered if luxury shoes making walking significantly easier or if heel walking is just a skill I can’t master. πŸ™‚

Beautiful shoes & those Pradas are a pure fairytale! They are so pretty & I love the way they sparkle in the light. I would be afraid of them sliding off of my feet. Are they comfortable to walk in?
Have a wonderful day Judy, looks like it will be a gorgeous one!

Celine is in-store only. The brand is being re-launched as very exclusive, so they are not making stuff online for the most part. However, I’ve found matches has their stuff online.
edit: matches does not have their stuff online anymore.
