Afternoon Tea Party

img_0781-1

I love to have the girls over for afternoon tea. By tea I mean cocktails! It’s a great way to catch up with friends and family in a casual and fun setting. My afternoon teas are not formal by any means, but I love to take my time when dressing my table up. I include lots of flowers on my table to compliment the pastel colors and crystal stemware. Plus the pop of color from my mixed and matched floral China plates gives it an eclectic look!

I’ve had this zinc front hutch forever. I’m a sucker for old zinc pieces.

Hydrangeas and candlesticks really add an elegance to this cozy table setting.

For snacks, I picked out some of my favorite recipes from Thyme & Temp, my favorite foodie website. All of the recipes for these yummy dishes can be found on their website with step by step instructions so you can whip up your own tea party!! For gatherings like this, I like to have one savory option, one sweet treat, and a cocktail ready to go!

The savory option I decided to whip up was a Caramelized Leek White Bean Toast. It’s so tasty and filling. My friends love this one to start!

For my something sweet, I chose the Candied Clementine Tea Cakes. Jane brought them over for a Mother’s Day treat and I fell in love with these rich, bite-sized cakes!

For my cocktail, I chose one of my all time favorites: The Boulevardier.

There’s nothing better than having friends over for bites and Boulevardiers!!

Have a great weekend!
