http://inkimages.net/?attachment_id=13495 I have been collecting papyrus paintings from Guatemala and Mexico for some time. While sifting through stacks of these beautiful papers in Mexico City over Easter, a lightbulb went off! Why not cover an entire wall with these crazy, beautiful paintings? I purchased enough to cover one wall in my guest bedroom. And, voila! Gualpaper!
It was super easy to do, and took a little over an hour. I used a staple gun and an Exacto knife for precise sizing. You can even get brown staples for your stable gun. Below is a closeup of one of the paintings.
I styled the room a couple of different ways. You can see what a fun project this is!
I am heading back to Guatemala soon. If you are interested in “Gualpapering” a wall in your home, shoot me an email at judy@atlantishome.com and I can quote you some pricing.
