NOT IN ITALY

I was supposed to go to Florence with Jane, but last minute I cancelled.  I'm a little behind on pretty much everything, and I have not had the house to myself in years!   The girls both went with their dad—I've heard from them, and they are having a great time. I took a little vacation from blogging this week, I have a different project going on, but here are a few detail shots from the FDluxe shoot….

Footed table

I love this footed tray that Sam found.

Turquoise

Detail

Sam does amazing groupings of things.

Birds

I'm always on the lookout for tiny vintage animal pillboxes.

Sam

Sam and me with our noses stuck in our laptops  the day of the shoot…

Me

Light

Manny snapped this shot of my closet chandelier while it hung temporarily outdoors—wouldn't it be nice to find an outdoor chandelier like this?  I've been looking, but no luck.

Regular chandeliers can be wired for outdoor use – anything left outside will get grimey in time alas. Lisa Eisner had an exquisite crystal one hung in an outdoor tree – breathtaking.

Loving the idea of a chandelier outside. It would be BEAUTIFUL! Especially in a brown colour, I find those chairs don’t really suit your look though..

Judy – You must be over-the-moon to have the house to yourself! Enjoy, stay up late, don’t wash the dishes or do the laundry, eat in any room you want to πŸ™‚

I love the photo with the collection of green stones and ornaments. It reminds me of the end of Return to Oz when Dorothy has to choose which ornaments she thinks her friends have been turned into.
    Wonderful re-vamp!

Time alone in the house is appealing but Florence is on my bucket list. How are the new closets coming?

Oh wow Judy! Your house is looking totally incredible. Such a big inspiration! Your style is supreme and I can really see how fashion and interiors have a lot in common.
Your right a chandelier would look amazing outside, especially with the sun shinning through!

Do they make outdoor chandeliers?? I use an extra “indoor” chandeliers outdoors, but it definitely wasn’t intended for that purpose! I also have one that I converted to hold candles (fairly easy to do) so I can use it for nighttime outdoor parties. I love the flickering light of the candles with all of the crystals- it’s amazing.
