Loreto My next door neighbor turned four today, and he asked Carol to make him a cake that looked like a hamburger for his birthday. I couldn’t wait to post this photo! It turned out so cute. Carol was so clever to come up with the idea of making the french fries with pie crust, and the lettuce and cheese are fondant. The birthday boy loved it!

August 6, 2011 at 10:49 amOMGoodness that is adorable. Your daughter is so talented. I am impressed by all the baking, fashion and interior inspiration I am exposed to on both your site and on Sea of Shoes, but it’s fun to see everything through your perspective as the proud mother of two amazing daughters who are super duper talented in extremely distinctive, unique ways! I love reading. Sorry I rarely post. I have been following for years. Your jewelry insects from the relief molds that I believe your sister casts (correct me if I am off) are pretty stunning too! A super creative family. I am impressed as usual. I bet the birthday boy was so happy and completely surprised by how perfect his Birthday cake was.

August 11, 2011 at 2:30 pmI’m totally going to be a copy-carol for my twins’ next birthday. I think Carol needs her own television show, “What’s Cookin’ With Carol.”
