How cute is this vintage brocade elephant jacket? It was a purchase on eBay a while back. It traveled with me to a trunk show in NY, and went surprisingly unnoticed. I packed it away, and forgot all about it. This weekend while rummaging through piles of vintage, I pulled it out, and decided it’s a pretty special jacket. It’s now back in my main closet….
I love how detailed each elephant is…and how the jacket is cut away.
Paired with my new Miu Miu’s. I love these shoes! Remember this pair from the same collection on one of the Olsen twins?
They’re on sale at Net-a-Porter!! So tempting! (pic from Olsens’s Anonymous)
Also wearing old Zara blouse. I need to visit Zara again. I have found a lot of really great things there.
Hope everyone is staying cool!

June 17, 2011 at 4:12 pmLove the artistry on the shoes. So beautiful! Who are the jeans by in this picture?
Also, I am interested to know your opinion on the stylelikeu.com post on Terence Connors, because we are of the same age group. In one of the pictures, he is wearing a cloak from a Nazi officer that was left in his grandfather’s house in Germany. Would you ever wear such a thing? I, for one, think it is very bad taste. He is probably too young to appreciate the horribleness of it all. I made a comment, but they removed it because they told me they didn’t want to offend Mr. Connors. It is just the same as someone wearing a KKK robe because he likes how the fabric drapes. Just wrong!

June 17, 2011 at 5:28 pmAndrea,
My jeans are from Hysteric Glamour–purchased in Tokyo about 6 years ago. Regarding the Connors closet. My family if from the south-if my Great Grandfather was in the KKK, I would not wear that robe proudly and display it as some type of family heirloom. I think you’re right, he just doesn’t get it.

June 24, 2011 at 1:41 pmI absolutely love this jacket but… I am most amused by the fact that you wore an Feodosiya elephant print jacket to…a Mitha Tiwāna trunk show!!!! The pun too went surprisingly unnoticed 🙂
Stunning ensemble. As always you wear it exceptionally well.
