I love shoes with exquisite details.  I love the use of feathers on these Manolo’s.  If you capture a small feature of the shoe in a picture frame, it becomes a work of art by itself……I captured a few details of some of my favorite shoes.

Manolo Blahnik.

Raffia heel from Proenza Schouler.

Woven leather–Proenza Schouler.

Lace up detail-Celine.

Miu Miu jeweled heels.

Miu Miu dragonfly shoes.

YSL cage heels.

Gucci Platforms.

These shoes remind me of Petit Fours.

Laurence Dacade platforms.

    I love shoe posts!!!!!!!!

I have not gotten any new shoes in a while, because I have not seen anything (at least here in Memphis), that I must have. I have gotten so picky, and what I buy, has to be either interesting, or have beautiful detail, like you said. Also, I love hight, but must have a platform.

shoes are sculptures, and selecting a collection requires culling through many artists, a type of curation; with such beautiful pieces available, being an editor and deciding can be impossible.

Love the photos and you are correct, all of these shoes are just works of art. I love how you captured them so different. It is so wonderful to see someone else’s point of view of an object. I think the Gucci platforms are my favorite! Please visit my website to view my photography. Love your sense of style and your blog !!
