Miuccia?

I'm a huge fan of both Miu Miu and Prada, but the last few seasons, Miuccia has taken a path all her own, and I find some of it odd–unexplainable even.  These shoes from yesterday…

One thing came to mind for me…
Trojan helmet
This treatment might make a trojan helmut look ferocious, but I'm not sure it works around your ankles.  I cannot imagine how these shoes could be flattering.  They look overdone to say the least.  I really liked the studding, but thought it translated better in her mens collection.  It will be interesting to see how these shoes look when they hit the sales floor.

I liked the the whole trojan armor inspiration in her dresses and skirts however…

I'm not quite sure where the thigh high wading boots fit in, but I think I might like them…

The leather coats were dreamy and buttery soft–gorgeous!

This suit is incredible…

Lastly, I thought this piece was totally genius!  It would surely become the most versatile piece in your wardrobe….If I could have one thing, this would be it!

it can be the shoes are just like from the feathers of a peacock or turkey.

The more I look at the shoes the more I like them. God save me. From the front I love how they look – they remind me of my Alexander mcQueen’s with the ruffles up around the ankles – but on crack. Hmm…

Margarita–I love you for loving them!! ;-))
Given time–they could grow on me too. When Miuccia did the spats last spring, I hated them, but now own a pair….judy

To Freddy’s Mom–You’re so right–they do look like feathers now that you mention it. I didn’t see that at all before. Isn’t it interesting how we all interpret things differently? judy

…Oh Prada…I dreamed of working for Prada when I was in design school…I did all my projects around Prada…thanks for posting their lastest work…they still got it…and those thigh high leather boots are too hot for words…I would never take them off…leggings and boots, leggings and boots…what’s better than that?

i really don’t like that waders-with-diaper-shorts-over-knits look; it is disturbing. the armour dresses are genius, though.

Judy! I like the thigh-high boots! I couldn’t stop looking at it. It’s actually the sole pair of shoes that I liked in the collection. Heh. And I agree that the poncho-like dress/shirt is very versatile. Definitely wearable. 🙂

I agree Judy– like the last couple of Prada seasons, I predict these shoes will only hold great appeal for editorial directors. On another note though, I think that you will like Etro’s shoes this season. They kind of remind me of Dries in their tribal notes and colourful stripes, albeit a bit more reserved in their colours.

For some unknown reasons, the makeup for Prada’s this season is kinda freaking me out. But then, clothes are still as fabulous as ever!
