And Now, My Version….

Takayama I posted this pic earlier from 6a0105364db45b970c01127918692328a4-800wi.jpg

I made my trip to Genesis Thrift store in Dallas to check out the leather pants, and this is what I found. The great 80's tux jacket was an unexpected find that really made the trip worthwhile.  The whole outfit for under $30!!  I love that.  I'm wearing my thrifted outfit with Christian Louboutin pumps, and Christopher Ross dragon belt.  My pants are just a tad big, so I will have to have them taken in a bit, and hemmed as well.

    Hi Judy,
Quick question…where do you get your belts for your Christopher Ross buckles if they don’t come with them? Love your outfit.

think it will look better if you have the pants were low slung – hip level. — and the jacket a bit more cropped or taken in as well — just some suggestions.

To Christine: I have a lot of extra belts because I have collected so many buckles–some of them came with two or more belts. An option is to take the buckle to a shoe repair, or leather expert, and have them make a belt to go with the buckle. I have done this with other belts, and had success. If you have a Christopher buckle that needs a belt, I think it would help if you bought a picture of one of Christopher’s belts. Best, judy

Food for thought when you are getting the pants tailored–I just saw this look at the Marc Jacobs show: http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/2009/03/06/fashion/20080309-PULSE_7.html
