Great Find and News From Afar

Friday I met up with my dear friend Kelly in Dallas for lunch and antiquing.  We went to our favorite consignment store Willow

**click to see these in all their glory**

I'll take a picture after I decide where to put them.  In other news–I had the most fantastic surprise yesterday morning.  Christopher Ross called me!!!  He is living in Munich now, and is 78 years old.  He is no longer designing belts, but has completed one film, and is in the middle of his second film.  He is sending me a DVD, and I cannot wait to tell you all about it.  It was incredible to talk to Christopher, he is fascinating, and has so many artistic outlets that he continues to pursue.  He tells me finding your passion is the secret to staying young.  I believe him!!

Those look like they were made of Rapunzel’s hair. They are truly bonkers in a most enviable way- I can’t wait to see them hanging in your magic manse.

I too believe that finding your passion and living a creative life is the key to living young and happy.
I am grateful that I do this.
You do it beautifully, and you are teaching your daughters well. They are lucky. πŸ™‚

These are so unique and I love them! They would be a nice feature in an entryway with some great lanterns or bird cages…Also, the incorporable Christopher Ross is my hero. When I am his age, I hope to be as creatively optimistic and have such a zest for life he does~

wow! you’re so fortunate that Mr. Christopher Ross called you. No wondering why he’s still alive and kicking at the age of 78.
Ms. Judy, i love those sconces. It’s very unique. But i think, it’s not practical to use it with candles on, it can cause fire. It’s only good as an embellishment. I know it will look good on your “pottery barn” style home sweet home.

That is so exciting for you Judy – Apart from Ross himself, it seems you have the biggest collection of his belts. Do you know exactly how many he designed. I wonder if he has catlogues/records he can send you to help you refine and expand your search.
The willows are exquisite – fit your houses aesthetic perfectly!

I would really like to try these! I am getting married in July and having my reception on an amazing rooftop garden in Sedona that looks out into the canyons. I have been on a MADDENING search for unique and interesting centerpieces. Does anyone have any suggestions for constructing these?
    Or any great candelabra finds!
    Thanks!
