I was so lucky to find this vintage horizontally striped wool Bill Blass skirt.  We're always told not to wear horizontal stripes, and they can be tricky, but I think this skirt works.

These shoes were a purchase that was a little out of character for me, but I really love them now!  There is something to be said for stepping out of your comfort zone.

Alejandro Ingelmo platform booties…Also wearing one of my beloved Christopher Ross belts.  This one is a fox, or coyote, I've heard it referred to as both.  It's one of my favorites.  He has such a smug look on his little face….

I love these pants they have on the site right now by Loeffler Randall.

Post Change–I really didn’t like my photos, but Jane was sweet enough to re-shoot me. (thanks Jane) As for going braless, I’m very flat chested and sometimes I wear a bra, but most times I don’t, and that’s just the way it is.
These photos were not taken at my home, they are buildings close to my home. I have lots of photos on the blog of my home however—judy

Judy, you look fab – braless or not!!!
You’re gorgeous and don’t let anyone tell you different!
You are much nicer than I am – I would’ve deleted the comment ; )
As for the outfit – I love it.
I often wish I could wear alot of the stuff you do, but alas that not “Malibu” will just enjoy it on you instead.
Once I hit my 40″s ( 44 next month ) I started to re-evaulate my wardrobe – and went backwards – except for the bra – and that’s only because of gravity – and a boob job!
    Keep up the great work.

Another great outfit and the belt is so cute! I love your platform booties! Why do you think that they’re not your style? They look fab on you.
BTW, thanks for your encouragement on the Stellas. I got the last pair at Barneys. You’re right, they’re very comfortable and versatile.

What a gorgeous skirt. The texture looks so lovely! I stepped out of my comfort zone with a Miu Miu skirt I bought recently – it’s *much* shorter than those I normally wear, even when paired with tights – but got lots of compliments nonetheless πŸ™‚

I just read the post about you on twentythirtyforty.net, which, by the way, is an awesome online store. Thanks! I thought every word that was said about you was right on. I have always admired your style. It is uniquely yours and you always seem to be able to keep it interesting. I also think that you dress smart and appropriate for your age, without sticking to society standards. Like twentythirtyforty I started following Jane’s blog, and now I follow yours, too! Both blogs are equally interesting, creative, and provide great inspiration. On a final note, thanks for opening Atlantis Vintage! It’s truly one of the best online vintage stores out there. I finally received my black Dushante faille suit! It’s my favorite suit, and I can’t wait to wear it out. I have put it on and stood in the mirror admiring how great it looks at least once a day since it came. I will post a picture up soon on my blog.

yet another great lesson of style from Judy. You are always a confirmation for me: your choice of skirt and look is sublime!
1 – I love the 2 tones of the stripes, black and ecru, very Haute-Couture.
2 – I love the irregular design of the stripes that seem to be hand painted.
3 – I love your brilliant touch in matching the right accessories
