I mentioned earlier, our trip to NY and Paris was really great. This is the perfect time of year for both cities. There was a touch of cold in the air, and the leaves were turning. It was really magical seeing both cities back to back. I cannot wait to go back to Paris in November. As promised, here are some photos of the trip.
Salad in Paris.
Veggie Lasagna…
Painted on the street in Paris….
In the park in Paris. My hair is darker…not sure about it yet, but it will fade before I make up my mind.
Jane in the Place de la Concorde……
Close up of the fountain in Place de la Concorde….
The fountain again…..
Jane and me……
This shot of piled up plastic tubing was so compelling….The following shots are shoe pictures taken in NY.
Prada boots in the stairwell…
Marnis from several seasons ago…..
Prada studded slingbacks. I know these are really gratuitous shoe shots, but Jane and I couldn't resist shooting on the cobblestone streets with the leaves falling…..All for now.

September 23, 2009 at 5:23 pmBeautiful photos Judy, especially the Chanel ones in Paris which I am salivating over. I quite like your hair darker, it brings out your features quite well. As for the shoe shots, I think it’s interesting that even though they are all from distinctively different seasons, there seems to be some form of continuity across all of them.

September 24, 2009 at 8:21 amThanks for all the nice comments. Looking at the pictures makes me want to return to Paris right away! I don’t know what the Peanut Gallery is–but my scarf is from Zara. It’s in stores right now, and it’s really nice because the size is so large. I don’t remember the name of the restaurant that I had the salad at, but you almost cannot go wrong anywhere in Paris!

October 21, 2009 at 5:09 amHello Mrs. Aldridge-
Out of concern for you and your daughter Jane’s bright future, I just want to caution you about the le Bal event. Please be sure to research this event and its organizers and make absolutely sure that they are what they represent themselves to be. I happen to know that a lot of their activity is designed to benefit their own pocket books. I suspect they have already asked you to sign the release form on the days of the fitting. That will empower them to use your daughters (and your own) images without your consent and without paying you. (I hope they at least provided you a copy so you can review its details carefully). The organizer has also been known to be very unpredictable so be cautious. Worst of all, you may be concerned for the type of people that your daughter will forever be associated with. The guest list is always a bit anachronistic. It uses names from the past, but in general everybody that attends has a career that is over. For those few others, it seems to end their careers by association. You can see more viewpoints at socialagenda.wordpress.com. Also, should you have any legal problems with the organizer, I would just like to tip you that the actual responsible parties are the Sternlicht brothers (Barry and Russel) of Starwood Capital (US corporation) all others are employees even though they present themselves differently.

October 22, 2009 at 11:44 amwaw! Beautiful photos. Makes me want to get there already. I am also going to be in Paris in November, so maybe I’ll meet you there :). It’s a birthday trip.
